Tadadam...

First pair of sock for me...
My own pattern...
A very nice yarn (Regia Cotton, 41%Wool, 34%Cotton, 25%Polyamid)...
Addi's circular needle US 2 (I believe)

I am in love! But...
They are too big (didn't realize that the lace pattern would badly enlarge my gauge).
One is bigger than the other (I relaxed a bit after the first...)
And this yarn is not going to go smaller when washed. Too good yarn, I guess.

Oh well. I still love them, and they will be very nice bed and home socks.
I have been quite lucky with the colour placement.
I know I should tell you more about the pattern and methods that I have used as inspiration, but (I know I am tiresome) I am too lazy (tired) tonight. Sorry! Maybe I will come back and tell you everything another day..

I am knitting a pair for my daughter with the same yarn in pink. I have adapted Grumperina's Jaywalker for a child's size. Those are going to be tight! But my daughter do prefer her socks tight, so it is all good... Let's hope that the second one will be the same size as the first! (Or is it like the children? Not one is ever the same as the other?) Beginner's angst.

wonderful socks! I started my first one tonight - no fancy pattern though - it's hard enough juggling with 4 needles - I think I may revert to a circular. very beautiful sock!
