Bye, bye (for a week)

We finally have a destination for your one-week-vacation! Not the south and the sea I was dreaming of, neither the Ticino (italian-speaking part of the switzerland), but Champex, a small "village-valaisan" 1400m high and much closer to Lausanne! Which is a goos thing, considering my tireness and poor mobility. We found a small appartment to rent this morning, and we are leaving tomorrow morning. I haven't even started to prepare my own bagages, because today we have spent an outrageous amount of time in a baby-shop, buying a carriage for Alain's bike. But he seems pleased, and the children are excited at the idea of going in it.
I have to take some embroidery with me, because I must stitch four ornaments before the end of the month. That may be a nice occupation, and again, "tant pis" for the Halloween projects I had in mind.

Enfin nous avons trouvé une destination pour nos vacances! Ce ne sera ni le sud ni la mer dont je rêvais, pas même le Tessin (partie italophone de la Suisse, où il y a de magnifiques chataigneraies), mais Champex, petit village valaisan, beaucoup plus proche de Lausanne, mais à 1400 mètres d'altitude. C'est quand même sûrement mieux, vu ma fatigue et mon manque de mobilité.
Nous avons dégotté un appartement ce matin, et nous partons demain matin, mais je n'ai pas encore seulement commencé à préparer mes bagages. Nous avons passé un temps hallucinant à acheter un cariole pour le vélo d'Alain. Mais il semble content, et les enfants se battent pour y monter, donc tout est pour le mieux. Par la suite, il m'a fallu trouver des affaires d'hiver pour les deux petiots, parce qu'on risque bien de se les geler par là haut.
Je vais emporter de quoi broder, parce que je dois finir quatre ornements de Noël d'ici la fin du mois. J'espère que ce sera un changement agréable, même si je dois encore une fois dire adieu à mes projets d'Halloween.
